Spring Preview

A week ago, icicles dripped from the roof

But, during the past several days, we noticed signs of spring…

These pretty flowers emerged and, if you look closely, you’ll see a bee filling up with nectar…

Mr. Fifty Shades of Green Acres installed a hummingbird feeder just outside our porch.  We’re hoping the hummingbirds will soon be posing for pictures…

In other news, Mr. Fifty Shades of Green Acres has been busy…

…starting a new project (any guesses as to what this will be?)

…chasing chicks

…and even letting a chick sit on his lap…

Hmmm…I need to start paying more attention when he goes outside!…

I guess it’s ok, though, because we do get these…

They taste great and it appears they smell pretty good, too!

Hope wherever you are, you can take some time out to enjoy the day!!

  1. Ah, to have the life of Scout in Springtime in the mountains . . . plenty to do, to see, and lots of range to look out upon. Life is good ! Flowers are beautiful. Eggs smell great !

As for trying to guess the project… first thing I thought of was Mr. 50 Shades of Green Acres has built the floor of what might be a trash can container? To keep the wildlife out of it, whenever Scout is off duty?
