Well…

We did this…

Soaking the cucumbers in a stone crock

Soaked the cucumbers and pickling lime in a stone crock

And this…

Made up a syrup of sugar, vinegar, pickling spices, cloves, celery seeds, mustard seeds, and cloves

And this…

Then soaked them overnight in the syrup

Then soaked them overnight in the syrup

Then,  we…

Boiled them in the syrup for 35 minutes

Boiled them in the syrup for 35 minutes and packed them into the jars

Processed the jars in a water bath for 15 minutes...

And, voila! Like magic…

    • Well – we have to admit we didn’t grow these cucumbers, but we do have some cucumber plants coming up now and they are hoping to become pickles in the future!
