Yesterday, we woke up and said…
Today’s going to be a good day…
Today’s going to be a good, good day
And, it was a good, good day at the beautiful Cumberland Gap National Park.
Here they are!
…welcomed some chicks
Someone is very interested
Used a mill to grind flour
Broke in a new ice cream maker
Homemade vanilla ice cream on a hot Monday afternoon!
Made homemade pasta
And started on a 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle
Tomorrow we’ll try to be more ambitious!!!
A few leaves of arugula and red romaine lettuce from our garden – very yummy in our salad tonight
And…yes, they are in the same room (even if one is asleep)
It was the best of times
It was the worst of times
It was the age of wisdom
It was the age of foolishness
It was the epoch of belief
It was the epoch of incredulity
Inspection of doggie crate
….with apologies to Charles Dickens
P.S. Day two was a little better, but Nutmeg is still not too sure about the new addition.
All my troubles seemed so far away
Now I need to find a hideaway – oh, I believe in yesterday
Why they had to go pick up Scout?
I don’t know – I couldn’t say…
Things are oh so wrong…
Now I long for yesterday, ay ay ay….
At this time and the foreseeable future, no pictures of Nutmeg and Scout together are possible…
